Department of Consumer Protection Publishes Policies and Procedures for the Regulation of Adult-Use Cannabis

The Department of Consumer Protection announced last Friday that it has published Policies and Procedures pertaining to Public Act 21-1 An Act Concerning Responsible And Equitable Regulation Of Adult-Use Cannabis.

The policies and procedures for the regulation of Adult-Use Cannabis will become effective October 16, 2021.

The policies and procedures are the provisions necessary to operationalize Connecticut’s adult-use cannabis industry, including the parameters by which people and businesses licensed by the Department shall operate. They also set forth consumer protections including product quality, safeguards for minors, and security of product against diversion.

The policies and procedures are available through the state’s eRegulations portal.
