In what seems to be a nightly occurrence, Adam Greenberg gave the Bluefish offense a jolt of energy. He reached base in all five of his plate appearances including a 2nd inning triple that drove in three runs, a single and three walks. He also had two runs and a stolen base. Every Bluefish in the lineup recorded at least one base knock in the game, ten hits total. The Bluefish batted around in the 2nd inning for the first time this season and saw nine consecutive hitters reach base before the second out of the inning was recorded. One bright spot for the Revolution was the work of their bullpen. Starter Corey Thurman (0-3) picked up the loss, going 1.1 innings and giving up the six runs. After that it was Nick McCurdy, Matt Trent, Dave Veras, and Reid Price that shut things down. The York pen allowed five hits and one run over the last 6.2 innings and struck out nine. The Bluefish will go for the series sweep tomorrow when they send another hot starter in Rafael Bergstrom to the hill to face Aaron Rakers. Wednesday’s are Wild-Money Wednesday’s at the Ballpark. One lucky fan will walk away with $500 cash for the first time this season during tomorrow’s game.
