The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball have announced the signing of three more players to the 2008 roster. The team added reliever Eddy Ramos, who will be returning for his fifth season in Bridgeport, along with infielders Adam Morrissey and Jake Daubert.

Ramos, 34, was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Texas Rangers in 1996. In 2004, Ramos came to the Bluefish from the Newark Bears, making 23 appearances with 33 strikeouts in 26 innings. Last season, Ramos finished with a career high 16 saves and a 1.56 ERA, striking out 51 batters in 57.2 innings. His 16 saves ranked fifth in the Atlantic League.

Morrissey, 26, was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Chicago Cubs in 1999 and has played for the Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers, and the Los Angeles Angels affiliates. In 2007, Morrissey played for the Angels AA team in Arkansas and finished the season with a .263 batting average, 50 RBIs, and 85 runs scored in 134 games.

Daubert, 28, was drafted in 2000 by the Seattle Mariners in the 15th round. He spent five years playing in the Can-Am league for the Brockton Rox, and in 2006 moved to the American Association to play for the Sioux City Explorers. In 2007, Daubert batted .281 for the Explorers and had career highs in RBIs (63) and hits (110) in 96 games.
