The Bluefish held a three to one lead heading into the seventh inning when starter Rafael Bergstrom ran into a road block. After a Jason Aspito double and a walk to Matt Dryer, Field Manager Tommy John brought reliever Derrick Ellison into a dangerous situation with no outs recorded. Ellison then saw his third pitch fly off the bat of Matt Padgett and off the scoreboard in center for three runs to make it four to three. Luis Lopez was the top offensive performer for the ‘Fish on the evening. The third baseman went three-for-four with a pair of RBI singles. Adam Greenberg scored his ninth run of the season while Jesse Hoorelbeke added his seventh RBI of the year. Henry Mateo also contributed a three hit night. Bergstrom finished the game with two strikeouts, four hits and three earned runs in six innings pitched. York starting pitcher Aaron Rakers posted almost identical numbers with two strikeouts, seven hits and three earned runs in six innings pitched. Chris Eickhorst (1-1) picked up the win for the Bluefish in relief with York pitcher Matt Trent (0-1) absorbing the loss. The Bluefish complete a six game home stand by winning five and will now head to Camden for a four-game series with the Riversharks. Carlos Castillo will take the bump for Bridgeport in the first game of the series Thursday night against Darren Sack of the ‘Sharks.
