Spencer Stuart relocates to RFR Realty's Two Stamford Plaza

STAMFORD, CT – March 10, 2010 – RFR Realty today announced that Spencer Stuart leased 24,000 square feet on the 14th floor of Two Stamford Plaza for a 10-year term.
Spencer Stuart relocated last week from 695 E. Main Street in Stamford. Founded in 1956 and privately owned, Spencer Stuart is one of the world's leading executive search consulting firms. The firm’s clients range across industries, from the world's largest companies to medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurial start-ups. Spencer Stuart operates out of 51 offices in 27 countries.
RFR owns and manages seven Class-A Stamford office building totaling 1.8-million-square-feet and is the largest office property owner in the Stamford CBD. RFR Realty recently completed multi-million dollar interior and exterior capital improvements at Stamford Plaza, which is currently 91% leased.
"After an extensive search within the Stamford central business district, Spencer Stuart selected Stamford Plaza because of its proximity to the transportation center, the extensive amenities and new renovations to the property,” said Val Harper, Senior Director, of Spencer Stuart. “In addition, RFR offered highly competitive lease terms and was able to accommodate our requirement to occupy a single, full floor.
Margaret Carlson and Joseph Artusa, RFR Realty’s Stamford portfolio directors, represented the property owner in the transaction negotiations. Spencer Stuart was represented by Colin Riley and Paul Jacobs of CBRE.

Ms. Carlson said that a recent surge in leasing activity at Stamford Plaza was attributed to the quality of space that was previously not available, the excellent condition of the buildings, new capital improvements, the installation of turnkey build-outs and plug and play space, as well as competitive rents, an extensive amenity package and central location.
RFR Realty’s seven-building Class-A portfolio in Stamford consists of consists of One, Two, Three, and Four Stamford Plaza, 177 Broad Street, 300 Atlantic Street, and Canterbury Green. RFR Realty is the largest office landlord in the Stamford CBD market.
