New Canaan, CT - For the fifth year, PRAI Beauty, based in New Canaan, CT, will support The Humane Society of the United States’ (HSUS) Genesis Awards, which celebrate the role that news and entertainment media play in raising awareness of animal issues. The event will be held Saturday, March 23rd at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

Cathy Kangas, the founder and CEO of PRAI Beauty and a member of the Board of Directors of HSUS, will attend the awards ceremony accompanied by her husband, Ed; Arthur Benjamin, founder of American Dog Rescue, and his guest, Sundays; Cathy Fraser, SVP of Human Resources for Tenet Healthcare, and her daughter Katie; and Audrey Andrews, SVP and General Counsel for Tenet Healthcare, and her daughter, Claire.

In addition to serving as one of the event’s sponsors, PRAI will also donate its popular Radian Gemstone Caviar Triple Matrixyl Serum to the gift bag distributed at the event. PRAI Beauty is a global skincare line sold on home shopping networks in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Australia and Dubai.

The Genesis Awards will be hosted by Carrie Ann Inaba, a “Dancing with the Stars” favorite and life-long animal advocate. Among the Hollywood stars scheduled to attend are Emily Deschanel of “Bones,” Michael Vartan of “Hawthorne, Seamus Dever of “Castle,” and Wendie Malick of “Hot in Cleveland.”

Pop icon and committed animal advocate Ke$ha will receive The Wyler Award, HSUS’ highest honor for a celebrity who has done the most to increase awareness of animal issues. Previous winners include Sir Paul McCartney and Ellen DeGeneres.

In addition to honoring films, TV shows, and publications which have championed animals by raising public awareness, proceeds from the Genesis Awards support three key HSUS programs: Pets for Life, Farm Animal Protection, and Chimps Deserve Better.

Ms. Kangas commented: “PRAI Beauty is pleased to support this high profile event. The entertainment industry and news media play a vital role in educating the public about issues that impact on animals. They deserve our thanks and recognition.”
