Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of Norwalk requires additional funding for medical care for the pets at the shelter. To raise the needed funds, an on-line auction was created featuring great holiday gifts donated by businesses in Fairfield County and beyond.

The COSMO fund is supported by individual donations and covers spay/neuter services and medical care for the cats and dogs that come to the shelter to get and keep animals healthy as they wait to go to their forever homes.

The new dance studio in Stamford, owned by Dancing with the Stars professional dancers Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani and Val Chmerkovskiy, stepped up with their support. Tony Dovolani, arriving home to Stamford with his trophy from Dancing with The Stars, has offered a private dance lesson for a single or couple, followed by a chat where the winner can ask about his experiences on the hit television show. Individuals can also purchase a dance lesson at the studio for a $15 donation to PAWS.

Other items in the on-line auction include tickets and trip to the Emmy Awards, a ride in a glider plane, one week of pet sitting in your home, gift certificates to Outback Steakhouse or Westport Country Playhouse, a custom painted pet portrait by Shelly Lowell, architectural plans for your home by Eric Baker Architects, a townhome that sleeps 15 in Breckenridge, CO for a week and opportunities to purchase a month of food for the dogs or cats in the shelter.

The auction is open to people all over the country and concludes on December 17 with time to give the winning items as gifts for the holiday or New Year.
