Brenda and Erik Slovin, Chiropractic Physicians, will be participating in a charity drive for Positive Young Brothers And Sisters Mentoring Program as part of their Patient Appreciation Day which is conjunction with Doctors With A Heart foundation. “Doctor’s With a Heart” is a non-profit organization whose doctors volunteer their services to members of their community. The 15,000 plus member program includes dentists, orthopedists, medical doctors and chiropractors. During regular office hours, member doctors provide services at no charge to all patients. “This is our way of giving back to our community,” commented Dr. Slovin. “Using our professional skills to treat the people of the community helps us contribute to our town and stay involved with the people in and around Norwalk.” Doctors With a Heart Day will be held all day February 12, 2013. Donations for the Positive Young Brothers And Sisters Mentoring Program will be accepted throughout the month of February. Dr. Duane Schmidt, a dentist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, started “Doctors With A Heart” in 1986. The organization has been commended by former President Ronald Reagan, who called it, “an outstanding example of volunteerism at it’s best,” and by Dr. Leo Buscaglia, who said, “What an exciting and caring way to show people how much they matter!” Slovin Chiropractic Center is located at 205 Main Avenue, Norwalk, Connecticut. Take Interstate 95 to exit 15 (Rte. 7) go to exit 2, New Canaan Ave, at the end of ramp make a left onto New Canaan Avenue, at your second light make a left onto Main Avenue (Dunkin Donuts on corner). Make a left turn at the 1st light turning into the shopping plaza on your left (Rainbow Plaza). Their office hours on February 12, 2013 will be from 9am-6pm.
