A Diabetes Technology Fair will be held on Tuesday, March 24, "National Diabetes Alert Day," from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. in the lobby area of the Health and Wellness Center of Norwalk Hospital at i.park, 761 Main Avenue, Norwalk. The health fair is offered free of charge as a public service and is sponsored by the Norwalk Hospital Diabetes Education Program, Pediatric Endocrine Diabetes Specialists and Soundview Medical Associates.

"The Diabetes Technology Health Fair is designed to raise awareness about the options for day to day management of diabetes. Information will be available on blood glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring devices, computer based technology and medications," said Barbara Nadolny, RN, BSN, CDE, Coordinator of Diabetes Education at Norwalk Hospital.

In addition, attendees that do not have diabetes can take a free risk factor assessment test and learn about signs and symptoms of diabetes and ways to lower their risks. "Millions of Americans are currently undiagnosed and unaware of the potential dangers of diabetes. Diagnosis, treatment and education can help control and manage diabetes," Ms. Nadolny said.

"We are inviting the general public to join us on March 24th at i.park to receive the latest information on diabetes. For more information about the Diabetes Technology Health Fair, call (203) 852-2181.
