The Riversharks won the fifth of their last six games Sunday night with a sweeping win over the Bridgeport Bluefish. Three homeruns powered the team to a 9-5 victory.

The Sharks took the lead in the first when Sheldon Fulse walked and advanced to third on an L.J. Biernbaum single. Biernbaum stole second and simultaneously advanced to third on a throwing error. Fulse stole home for the first run. Ron Davenport knocked Biernbaum home on a groundout.

By the bottom of the fifth, however, the Bluefish had taken a 5-2 lead. The Sharks chipped away in the bottom frame. Cody Collet led off with a single and scored when Tim Johnson smashed his second homerun of the season. Nic Jackson followed with a double and scored on Biernbaum’s second hit of the night.

With the Bluefish bats silenced, the Sharks added four more in the sixth to seal the win. Bridgeport starter Jordan Pals was yanked for Wes Wilkerson. Shaun Boyd didn’t care and led the inning off with a solo homer to right. With two outs and two on, Fulse smashed his fifth bomb to make it 9-5.

Johnson went 4-for-4 on the night with two runs and two RBIs.

Camden reliever Mike Flannery (4-6) grabbed the win after coming entering in relief of Ryan Dittfurth. Wilkerson (1-8) earned the loss after surrendering two homers and the lead.
