Bridgeport, CT – The Bridgeport Bluefish rebounded from a tough loss in game one to take the second game of a doubleheader over the Somerset Patriots 4-3. Henry Mateo led the way for the 'Fish by driving in three runs while the Patriots seemed to exhaust all their offense in the first game. With the twin bill split, the Bluefish improve to 28-26 in the second half.

Mateo started the scoring in the third inning. The Bluefish second baseman drilled a single to center field to plate Darryl Brinkley and Wilson Batista. Batista scored his second run of the game on a sacrifice fly by Mateo in the fifth inning when he bowled over Pats' catcher Travis Anderson in a play at the plate. Mateo finished the day one-for-two.

After missing his last two scheduled starts due to injury, Bluefish starter Matt Sweeney (4-6) made an effective return to the rotation to pick up the win. Sweeney went 5.1 innings and allowed two runs on three hits and two walks with two batters fanned. Chris Buglovsky (0-2) suffered the loss for the Pats. The right-hander went five innings and allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

The Pats threatened in the ninth facing Bridgeport closer Eddy Ramos. David Housel's RBI single brought his team within a run before Ramos shut the door on the next two batters to earn his 18th save of the season. Josh Pressley led Somerset offensively, going two-for-two with an RBI and a run.

After finishing this home stand 4-2, the Bluefish now head on the road for 12 games in 10 days starting tomorrow night in York. Rafael Bergstrom (6-7) will start for Bridgeport and face Revs' righty Dave Gil (4-6).
