Alex Prieto and Luis Lopez highlighted the evening for the 'Fish offense. Prieto finished a perfect four-for-four with two runs, two doubles and three RBIs. Lopez finished three-for-five with a run and an RBI. Lopez also smacked two doubles in the game raising his total to 36 on the season, breaking the Bridgeport Bluefish single season record of 34 set by Oreste Marrero in 2001. Leadoff hitter Sean Smith led the Pats' offense recording the only multi-hit game. Smith finished three-for-five with two RBIs. The Patriots' big inning came in the bottom of the seventh, scoring four of their five runs in the contest. After a hit batter, two wild pitches and walk, Somerset's bats heated up and started bringing in the runs. The Bluefish bullpen was able to cool them off to secure Connolly's win. Connolly allowed two hits, three runs, four walks and struck out three over his six innings of work. Patriot starter Josh Brey (6-5) also went six innings but allowed 10 hits, five runs and three walks to absorb the loss. Eddy Ramos picked up his 16th save of the season in relief. The Bluefish look to keep the win streak going tomorrow night at 7:05 P.M. Ryan DiPietro (4-5) will start for Bridgeport and oppose Brian Adams (10-6).
