UBS presents Spring on the Farm

UBS presents Spring on the Farm at Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s Heckscher Farm on May 17, 2009. Come see how they shear sheep, spin wool and milk a goat, and enjoy fun games, live music and other family activities.
Come meet and greet the newest additions to Heckscher Farm at Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s annual Spring on the Farm family festival presented by UBS on Sunday, May 17, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Visitors will learn about life on a traditional New England farm through sheep shearing, wool spinning, and other demonstrations. . Activities are planned for all ages including games and prizes, arts and crafts, story telling, hay rides, face painting, a plant and herb sale, and food and refreshments.
Say hello to Duckers the Blue Swedish duck, Tip and Big Sis the pigs, Edie and Bert the otters, Maggie the Brown Swiss cow, and the dozens of other animals who call Heckscher farm home – including our new babies!

Stop inside the Bendel Mansion Museum Galleries to see Rodin: In His Own Words, Selections from the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Foundation.

Admission to Spring on the Farm is $5 for members; $10 for non-members. Family PLUS members & above levels, and children 3 & under are admitted free. Spring on the Farm will be held rain or shine.
