In conjunction with Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s latest exhibition, Rodin: In His Own Words, Selections from Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Foundation, the Museum will host “Two Magnificent Obsessions,” a lecture by Judith Sobol, Executive Director of the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Foundation on Thursday, April 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the Bendel Mansion (main building).
The lecture will cover B. Gerald Cantor’s “obsession” with owning Rodin artworks and revitalizing the sculptor’s reputation, and Rodin’s “obsession” with transforming sculpture. Ms. Sobol will take questions following the talk. The lecture is free for members and free with gate admission for non-members. To reserve a space, please call 203.322.1646 ext. 6521.
