The Watermark at 3030 Park is pleased to present author Joanna Leone for her presentation “Slices of Life – Italian Style” on Sunday, September 12 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. “Slices of Life” is a course from Watermark University, a continuing education program for seniors designed with interesting courses to keep brains and bodies fit.
For her discussion, Leone will talk about her website, www.authorsden.com/joannamleone, which features some of her stories from her upcoming book Slices of Life Collective Memoirs. For her book, Leone interviewed Italian Americans of all ages in the Northeast. The subjects recounted their special memories to her, recalling how they kept Italian traditions alive in modern American times.
“Every story is an important piece of someone’s life,” said Leone. “This book is a testament to memory and keeping traditions alive, and I look forward to sharing their stories with residents and guests of The Watermark at 3030 Park.”
A graduate of Sacred Heart University, Leone currently resides in Trumbull, CT. Slices of Life Collective Memoirs is scheduled to come out in late November or early December.
“Italian Slices of Life” is free of charge and open to the public. For more information, please call The Watermark at 3030 Park at 203-374-5611. For more information on Joanna Leone, visit www.authorsden.com/joannamleone.
