State Elections Enforcement Commission grants awards to candidates

Twenty-Two Days Remain Until Grant Application Deadline

The State Elections Enforcement Commission approved 19 grant applications today. The Commission has noticed an increase in the number of applications as candidates push to apply before the October 10th deadline – only 22 days remain.

There are 259 candidates who intend to participate in the Citizens’ Election Program for the 2008 General Election. Candidates who elect to participate in the Program must file an Affidavit of Intent to Abide by Expenditure Limits and other program requirements by September 25th.

The following candidates received grants today: John H. Frey, Debralee Hovey, Arthur House, Jason D. Perillo, Patricia Billie Miller, Linda M. Gentile, Cheryl S. Jansen, James F. Spallone, Patricia M. Widlitz, Nanci A. Seltzer, Kevin G. Liddy, Anthony T. Hwang, Theresa W. Conroy, Sandra H. Nafis, Vincent M. Marino, Richard F. Roy, Jill T. Fitzgerald, William A. Hamzy and Thomas J. Drew

Since the program was launched June 3, 2008, 117 candidates have received General Election Grants from the Citizens' Election Program.
