*“Simplicity Brand Drop-Side Cribs” were manufactured in China and imported/distributed by Simplicity Inc., of Reading, Pennsylvania. They sold nationwide in department stores, mass merchandisers and children’s stores, from January 2005 through August 2008 for approximately $150.00 to $300.00. The recalled model numbers include: 8620, 8745, 8748, 8755, 8756, 8778, 8810, and 8994. The date code on the recalled cribs can be located on a label found on the headboard under the mattress support. The recalled date codes end in: 05DH, 05GB, 06DH, 06GB, 07DH or 07GB. Model names include: Aspen, Crib N Changer Combo, Camille, Gabrielle, Providence and Shenandoah. Although no injuries have occurred with this crib, there have been nine (9) incidents which could have resulted in injury or death. Consumers should immediately cease using this product and return this crib to the place of purchase for a refund or store credit. Two (2) entrapment/strangulation deaths have occurred when the child’s head became entrapped in the metal bars of the bassinets. Consumers using any of the recalled bassinets should cease immediately. The retailers listed bellow have agreed to recall the product and provide consumers with a refund or store credit.
