HARTFORD, CT - Two MINI Coopers rolled into the Hartford Public School Welcome Center on December 21st stuffed with art supplies collected during the 4th Annual “Stuff the MINI to the Max” campaign. Markers, paper, paints, clay and more were dropped off at the dealership’s Hartford showroom throughout December. Additionally, New Country MINI partnered with Staples to park MINI’s at their office supply stores in West Hartford, Glastonbury, Newington and Vernon to make it convenient for shoppers to contribute.

“We want to thank our customers and everyone who made this program a huge success,” said Sam Herman, Sales Manager of New Country MINI. “We are indebted to Staples for graciously providing a space for us to park our MINI’s. We consider it our responsibility as a Hartford-based business to help neighborhood kids whenever possible and we love seeing them each year.”

Instead of winter clothing that New Country has collected in the past, the Hartford Public School Welcome Center requested art supplies to replenish classrooms that are running low on resources. The combination of hundreds of new students who have relocated from Puerto Rico plus delays and severe cutbacks in both the City and State budgets have left art teachers lacking basic supplies. Art is also used to overcome the language barrier faced by these new students.

“We are so grateful to New Country for coming through for our students once again,” said Marta Bentham, Director of Family Services and Ombudsman of Hartford Public Schools’ Welcome Center. “The art program is crucial for us to connect with our new students and it’s wonderful to have this donation just in time for the holidays.”

New Country MINI of Hartford is Connecticut’s foremost authorized MINI Cooper dealer offering top-notch new and used MINIsales, service, parts and accessories. Visit the brand new showroom at 236 Reverend Moody Overpass, Hartford CT or www.newcountrymini.com for more information.
