Inboards, outboards, steam engines and models will be displayed in the Henry B. duPont Preservation Shipyard. Additional engines dating from 1889 to 1963 and manufactured by Evinrude, Johnson, Herreshoff, Palmer and Kriebel, will be on display in the North Boat Shed. Weekend activities include a set and weigh anchor demonstration featuring a 1914 Economy Sparta Donkey engine aboard the L.A. Dunton at 3:15 p.m., and the firing of a 1940s D-90 Lathrop diesel engine built by the J.W. Lathrop Engine Company in Mystic. Additionally, a Pegasus Engine video detailing a 40,000-pound compound steam engine built in 1927 by the Staten Island Shipbuilding Company will be screened in the Shipyard, and a 1917 Hercules engine demonstration will be held at 4:45 p.m. in the hoop shop.
