On this day of seafaring adventure, children will follow a pirate’s map and collect clues leading them to a final treasure chest. They can also create unique pirate souvenirs, listen to buccaneer tales of old and discover how pirates navigated the high seas in a special Planetarium show. Reservations are strongly recommended. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $10 per person or $30 per family plus regular Museum admission. Members: $7 per person or $25 per family. Founded in 1929, the Museum is home to four National Historic Landmark vessels, including the Charles W. Morgan, the last wooden whaleship in the world. Mystic Seaport also features a working preservation shipyard, a re-created 19th-century coastal village, exhilarating exhibits and a planetarium. The Museum is open everyday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $18.50 for adults and $13 for children ages 6-17. Children five and under are admitted free.
