Mystic Seaport announces Nautical Nightmares and Lantern Light Tours auditions

Scene Performers, Tour Guides Sought for Annual Halloween and Holiday Events
Mystic Seaport is seeking men and women of all ages to perform in Nautical Nightmares and Lantern Light Tours, the Museum’s annual Halloween and holiday productions.
Amateur and professional actors are invited to audition, as well as musicians with acting skills and those who like to perform. Also needed are performers with strong storytelling and improvisational skills to act in tour guiding roles. Both paid and volunteer positions are available.
Auditions for Nautical Nightmares will be August 16 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., August 17 from 12 - 4 p.m., August 19 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and August 21 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Auditions for Lantern Light Tours will be August 23 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., August 24 from 12 - 4 p.m., August 26 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., August 28 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., September 2 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and September 4 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Auditions must be scheduled in advance by calling 860.572.5323. Actors should bring a short monologue or story to present and may be asked to read from a script. Actors may audition for either or both productions.
Mystic Seaport is the nation’s leading maritime museum. Founded in 1929, the Museum is home to four National Historic Landmark vessels, including the Charles W. Morgan, the last wooden whaleship in the world. The Museum is located one mile south off exit 90 off I-95 in Mystic, CT, and is open daily from 9 to 5 p.m. Admission is $18.50 for adults and $13 for children ages 6-17.
