Meet “Reptiles of the World” at Stamford Museum & Nature Center

Did you know reptiles have been around for 300 million years, and during the age of the dinosaurs, reptiles ruled the Earth? Those days may be long gone, but some 6,500 species of reptiles still thrive today.
Join Naturalist Chris Evers of Animal Embassy for a fascinating and first-hand look at these often-misunderstood creatures during “Reptiles of the World,” an Outdoor Adventures educational program, at Stamford Museum & Nature Center on Friday, Oct. 24.
“Reptiles of the World” is an Outdoor Adventures program presented by Stamford Museum & Nature Center in partnership with Animal Embassy. This program is suitable for children three years and older. Two program times are offered: 5:30– 6:30 p.m. (ages 3-6), 7– 8:30 p.m. (ages 6 and older). Pre-registration is required; call 203.322.1646 ext. 6251. Pricing is as follows: Members $5, Non-Members $8 (parking and admission included). This program will be held in the Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s Bendel Mansion and will be held rain or shine. Animal Embassy on Heckscher Farm, home to live exotic animals, is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s Heckscher Farm showcases more than 50 heritage breed and traditional farm animals including cows, horses, goats, sheep and pigs. Heckscher Farm, a 16-acre working educational farm is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
