"Governor Malloy wore his best rose-colored glasses today and he tried to make the last two years of his administration sound good -- but for the citizens of Connecticut, they sure have not felt good. As we know, saying so does not make it so, and Connecticut continues to have the worst debt in the nation, a higher unemployment rate than any of our Northeast neighbors and an economy that remains dead in the water. "The Governor talked about the 'tough choices' he has made, but in truth the tough choices have been left to the residents and businesses who are still trying to deal with Malloy's record-setting tax increase and reckless spending and borrowing two years ago. The Governor said Connecticut 'has come a long way in the last two years.' Unfortunately, it was in the wrong direction." © Copyright by NorwalkPlus.com.
