Inergy Group, LLC, a Wilton, Connecticut-based interactive and print communications agency, has been awarded several major honors by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) and the International ARC Awards, the world’s largest annual report competition, for the agency’s work on the Textron Annual Report. Textron is a $13 billion global multi-industry company with market-leading businesses serving the general aviation, aerospace and defense, industrial and commercial finance markets.

The LACP ranked the Textron Annual Report 36th out of 3,161 entries, and awarded the report first-place in its competition classing, eclipsing such competitors as the Power Financial Corporation, Eaton and The Boeing Company. Inergy Group won a total of four awards from the LACP, including a Platinum Award and a Silver in the Special Achievement category, “Best Letter to Shareholders.” The agency also earned a Bronze Award from the International ARC Awards for its work on the Textron annual report.

In addition to Textron, Inergy Group has distinguished itself over the past several years with awards for its annual report work for such companies as Rayonier, Commonfund and Knoll. The agency has built a reputation for its blend of strong design aesthetic and a thorough knowledge of how to shape messaging that effectively engages stakeholders. As one result of these disciplines, Inergy Group’s Chief Creative Officer, Kurt Gibson, and its Creative Director, Steve Chapman, have regularly been asked to serve as judges in such competitions as the International ARC Awards.

“The role of annual reports in stakeholder communications has been evolving rapidly,” notes Kurt Gibson. “The need for transparency as required by Sarbanes-Oxley is critical to publicly-held companies; but equally important is the need to communicate strategic thinking to key audiences—while taking advantage of newly enacted flexibilities in disclosure to investors, employees, and the SEC.”

“With so many companies embracing a ‘sustainability’ message in their communications, many are looking to Inergy Group to help them evaluate what information and delivery options are strategic to the print environment, what information can be effective online, and how the corporation can most efficiently integrate available media, assets and time requirements to deliver effective information.”

Inergy Group is an interactive and print communications agency that works with some of the world’s best-known brands. Since 1992, clients have relied on the agency’s broad experience in developing strategic positioning and thought leadership communications for both internal and external audiences.
