Hundreds raise a glass to Stamford Museum & Nature Center at Flights of Fancy Wine Tasting

2008 Flights of Fancy Wine Tasting
Approximately 400 people enjoyed more than 70 different wines and the cuisine of 11 different local caterers during Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s Flights of Fancy Wine Tasting on Friday, June 6.

“How gratifying to celebrate the 11th anniversary of this event, our largest fundraiser of the year, with the incredible family of friends and businesses that surround this institution,” said Executive Director Melissa H. Mulrooney of Stamford.

The event raised approximately $90,000 to support the educational mission of the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.

“It went fabulously,” said event chair Claudia Silver of Stamford. “There was variety in every way – from the people to the food and wine. It had a very good vibe, a ‘party on foot.’ I am so grateful to our incredible committee. All of them worked so hard to make this happen.”

The wine tasting was hosted by WinePort. Presenting sponsor Ste. Wine Tasting Committee members included Silver, along with Nadia Berkowitz, Angela Bollettieri, Leslie Bruzik, Lynn Villency Cohen, Holly Hyman, Becky Lai, Eva Levine, Cynthia Mammone, Betsy Raftery, Molly Seegers, and Jami Sherwood.
