Harvest Spooktacular
Harvest Spooktacular, the Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s signature fall family festival, returns Sunday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year in addition to the Boo Barn is a hay bale maze for all ages and a pumpkin patch filled with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.

While enjoying the festivities, visitors can learn firsthand how the Heckscher Farm staff turn apples into cider and how wool from a sheep’s coat gets spun into wool you can wear. What better way to sample the fall’s harvest than to try some cauldron-cooked corn on the cob? Other goodies such as seasonal pies from Silverman’s Farm, doughnuts and other yummy treats will be for sale.

Children of all ages may take a haunted hayride, a trip through the Boo Barn, or try thier luck in the haybale maze. Don’t forget to pick out the perfect pumpkin in our pumpkin patch! Other fun activities for all ages include face-painting, live music, storytelling, children’s crafts and much more. Children who arrive in costume will receive a special prize and will be able to march in the annual costume parade!
