Haight-Brown Vineyards offer a wine summer experience

Wine lovers can enjoy a whole month of opportunities to experience the taste of Haight-Brown Vineyard’s wine. As they enter in one of their busiest time of the year, they are prepared to offer tours, festivals and events for all who wish to come and explore the vineyards.

Every Sunday through the season, 'Vineyard Walks with the Manager' will offer tours for people who are interested in viticulture and wine making. The walks begin at 11 am (rain or shine) and give the opportunity to explore one of the seven vineyards. It will highlight grape varieties, growing cycle and techniques. The tour will end with a 10 flight wine tasting in a signature HBV wineglass. Reservations must be made. Cost is $8 a person.

Haight-Brown Vineyards are also hosting Taste of the Litchfield Hills, Connecticut's Oldest Food and Wine Festival. The $7 tickets could be purchased at the entrance at the time of the festival. About 3000 people are expected to come.

The Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Pairing, offered monthly, will be held on June 28-29 this month. People can learn how to taste wine and how to pair with cheeses and foods. The event is offered at 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, and at 2pm on Sunday. Reservations are required. Tickets are $15 per person.

For July 4th, the vineyard is preparing an event, dedicated to the Reds, Whites and Blues. They will color their sangria blue for the occasion. No reservations are necessary.

Haight-Brown Vineyards will also take part in The Litchfield House Tour, held on July 12.

July 13 marks the beginning of new Flight Tastings. People will have the opportunity to explore and take a sample in 3 flight wine tastings. The choice should be made between “Aromatic and Crisp Whites,” “Earthy and Spicy Reds” or “Balanced and Fresh Blends.” From then on, these wine flights will be offered in the daily wine menu of HBV. No reservations required.
