The Glen Gate Company, a landscape design & build firm based out of Wilton, has joined the efforts of the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut (CGC) in providing pro-bono design services for “Come Play!...It’s Field Day,” the annual benefit gala hosted by the center.
Glen Gate will work closely with CGC in developing a sophisticated yet cost-effective event. According to Amy Zabin, CGC’s Benefit Co-Chair, Glen Gate’s years of experience in landscaping architecture and design will make the event a wonderful experience. “CGC is excited to be working with Glen Gate in creating a lively and playful atmosphere, which meshes perfectly with our “Come Play!” theme, now in its third year,” she said. “We are so grateful and pleased that Glen Gate has offered us their assistance and believe the design will truly reflect the agency’s mission of restoring childhood for those children who struggle with mental health issues.”
More than 300 guests are expected to attend the fundraising event which will be held at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, on Saturday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. Featuring a “Field Day” theme, the night will include a cocktail reception and dinner catered by Abigail Kirsch, music provided by James Daniel, dancing, and live and silent auctions. Attire is “black tie and field day chic.” Guests are encouraged to add a playful accent related to childhood field day activities, such as sports and games, to their formal dress. The proceeds will benefit the CGC’s mental health programs for children, teens and families in Stamford, Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan.
