Carriage House Motor Cars presents 6th Model Ts to Mustangs antique & classic car show in Stamford

6th annual show returns May 2, this year highlighting the BMC Mini and micro cars

Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s 6th Annual Model Ts to Mustangs antique and classic car show is set for May 2 on the Museum grounds from 11 am to 3 pm. The show Museum will display cars manufacture between 1900 and 1979, with a special section featuring Mini and micro cars, in celebration of the BMC Mini’s 50th anniversary.
Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s 6th annual Model Ts to Mustangs outdoor antique and classic car display presented by Carriage House Motor Cars, Ltd., of Greenwich returns Saturday, May 2, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The car show is also sponsored in part by Wachovia Securities.

David Greenberg of Stamford and Rosa Portell, the Museum’s Curator of Collections, have teamed up again, working through the winter to co-curate this fun and classy event.

As a special feature marking the 50th anniversary of the iconic BMC Mini, there will be a section dedicated to mini and micro cars. The Museum will display American cars and imports manufactured between 1900 and 1979. Celebrates automotive design by focusing on both American and imported cars.

The show will be judged and awards – including a “People’s Choice” award – will be presented in several categories. The awards ceremony will be held at 2:45 p.m. Participants may also opt not to have their cars judged if they wish.

Rain date is May 3.

Admission for the public is included in the Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s entrance fee (Adults $8; Children ages 4-14, $4; seniors 65+, $6; Children 3 and under, free). All proceeds to benefit the Museum’s educational programs and gallery initiatives. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
