As part of this initiative, Stew and Kim Leonard hosted a water safety demonstration at their home. (Stew Leonard Jr. is president of Stew Leonard’s and founder of the Stew Leonard III Children’s Charities.) This event was filmed by GOOD DAY NEW YORK for a segment about pool and water safety and featured YMCA of Norwalk Director of Aquatics, Carolyn Boyce plus three young swimmers who participate in the YMCA of Norwalk aquatics program. The segment will air on Thursday, June 5 between 8:00 and 8:30 am on Channel 5, the local New York FOX station. Tune in to see how the YMCA of Norwalk is well-represented by Carolyn and our three youngsters as they demonstrate ways to keep children safe in the water. About Carolyn Boyce Carolyn joined the YMCA staff in September of 2007, coming to us from the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club where she directed their Aquatics programs and Learning Center for three years.
