City officials canceled the second day of the Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival in Norwalk, Saturday, because of inclement weather, according to the NSA's web site. Organizers expect to be opened as planned on Sunday, which is slated to be a Family Day at the Festival with a lot of special entertainment for kids and their families.

Tropical Storm Hanna is projected to cross the Fairfield County area overnight Saturday, with anticipated strong winds and rain.

Many local emergency officials and emergency management plans were put on stand by to deal with the effects of the storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning, a flood watch and a tropical storm warning for our area, most of which are expected to remain in effect until at least Sunday morning.

The Bridgeport Bluefish has also canceled the Saturday night game at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard, because of the weather.
