Norwalk photographer opens exhibit at Patriot National Bank

Norwalk, Connecticut – Larry Roberg of Norwalk will be exhibiting a collection of his photographic work entitled, “Fresh Air” at the Patriot National Bank at 800 Post Road in Darien. The show opens on May 19th and runs through July 18, 2008.

A reception, open to the public, will be at the bank on May 19th from 5 pm – 7:30 pm.

The display features more than three dozen photographs taken in Connecticut, Massachusetts, California, Florida, and Greece in both color and black and white. The collection highlights some of Roberg’s dramatic landscape and scenic photography.

The display is free and open to the public for viewing, and the photos may be purchased.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to Autism Speaks.

Roberg is a self-taught photographer who has been shooting for more than 25 years. His work has been on display in a one-man exhibit at the Easton Library in 2006 as well as exhibits in Stamford and Norwalk. He has won first place in several on-line photo competitions and his work has been used on-set in a production of “Father of the Bride” produced by “Curtain Call” in Stamford. Some of his pictures have also been seen on News 12 Connecticut as the background for the weather forecast. He has also been featured as a guest on “Pet Talk” and “Education Notebook” discussing his photography.

His commercial work has been used by Litchfield Festivals, Destination360.com, Key West Express, and The Cranberry Creek Baking Company, among others.

He has sold hundreds of his photographs in art shows around Connecticut and New York during the last several years and won an award for his work at a Long Island art show.
He served as photography editor for his college magazine and attended the Nikon School as well as participated at workshops sessions at the New England Camera Club Photographic Conference in Amherst, MA.

Roberg is a native of Stamford and now lives in Norwalk.
