Get Green! and celebrate Earth Day today

Stepping Stones Museum for Children will help children and their families “Get Green!” by hosting an Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 19 with a variety of special activities and programs taking place inside and outside the museum throughout the day.

Earth Day Celebration activities include:

Earth Alive! at 11 am
Brunswick School of Greenwich will be performing skits about honoring the earth and respecting each other.

Recycle for Art from 11 am – 12 pm and 3 – 4 pm
Turn trash into treasure with an art project that encourages reduce and reuse! Recycled items donated by Trader Joe's of Orange customers.

Spring Planting from 12 – 3 pm

Get your hands dirty and learn about gardening! Join Stepping Stones staff and volunteers for an outdoor planting. Supplies donated by Dragonfly Nursery in Lagrangville, NY.
Red’s Recycle-O-Rama at 1:30 pm

An exciting performance by Red’s one-man Recycle-O-Rama band with storytelling, magic, juggling and songs, all to the music of a one-man junk band!

In conjunction with its Earth Day celebration, the museum will also be giving away a SIGG aluminum water bottle to all families who purchase a Stepping Stones Family Plus membership. For limited time, while supplies last.

Stepping Stones Museum for Children is located at 303 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT, exit 14 North and 15 South off I-95. Regular hours are Tuesday 1 – 5 pm and Wednesday – Sunday 10 am – 5 pm. The museum will be extending its hours and will be open from 10 am – 5 pm each day during the school vacation week, April 14-18. Admission is $9 and children under 1 are free.
