Away We Go
The Westport Youth Film Festival (WYFF) has been given an incredible opportunity to hold a Special Screening of “Away We Go,” directed by Sam Mendes, on Monday, April 27, 7:00PM, at Bowtie Royale 6, 542 Westport Avenue, Norwalk. The Bowtie Cinema and Westport Arts Center are holding this screening to support WYFF. Tickets are $25 and are tax deductible.

Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes (“American Beauty”) from an original screenplay by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida, this funny and heartfelt film follows the journey of an expectant couple - John Krasinski of “The Office” and Maya Rudolph of “Saturday Night Live” - as they travel the U.S. in search of the perfect place to put down roots and raise their family. Along the way, they have misadventures and find fresh connections with an assortment of relatives and old friends who just might help them discover “home” on their own terms for the first time. The movie features the music of Alexi Murdoch.

WYFF, a Westport Arts Center program, is a youth film festival run by high school students showing films by high school students. The WYFF team has finished making its selections for this year’s festival which will be held on Saturday, May 9th at Town Hall and Toquet Hall in Westport.
