It’s Bo Peep’s birthday. All of her friends have gathered at Al’s Malt Shop for some early 1960s rock 'n' roll. The lights go out and when they come back on, they find that some things have disappeared! Could there be a thief in Storybook Land?

Bo Peep (Nina Negron, a Norwalk resident) has lost her sheep. Cinderella (Marnie Kruse of Fairfield) has lost her shoe… again! Sleeping Beauty (Donna Marie Savage from Wilton) has lost the pillow she has slept on for the last hundred years. It’s up to “The Storybook Detectives” to find out, so sisters Connie (Ayla Guttman, from Stamford) and Francis (Francesca Matlik, of Darien) set out to solve the mystery.

They question the shop owner, Al (Max Parker, from Cos Cob), and the waitress, Flo (Ana Rae Newland, a Norwalk resident). They question the Little Mermaid (Lauren Dominick from Monroe), who has lost her towel, and the three little kittens (Alexa Carroll, Felicia Knise (both from Darien & Sherri Goldstein of Stamford) only to find that the have lost their mittens!

Or could it be the oh-so-silent Prince Charming (Darien’s Kevin Koenitzer)? Or even the Emperor (Joe Guttadauro of Norwalk)? Thank goodness there is a Fairy Godmother (Shannon Porper of Ridgefield) to over see all of Storybook Land!

The show, written and directed by Joe Guttadauro, will be performed Saturdays and Sundays, September 6, 7, 13 & 14 at 2pm and there will be one evening performance on Friday, September 12 at 8pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children under 12.

Location: The Carriage House Arts Center, Cranbury Park, 300 Grumman Avenue, (at the intersection of Kensett and Grumann Avenues), in Norwalk, CT
