Little River Band
Little River Band’s hits, “Reminiscing,” “Lonesome Looser,” “Cool Change” and “Lady” stayed on the charts for years in the 1970s, but it is their live performances that bring on the fans—witness their appearance at The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts last year. Have no fear. They are coming back—on Saturday, September 6 at 8 p.m.

Little River Band was the first Australian band to successfully conquer foreign markets from their home base. Within eight months of their dawning, LRB had already scored three Australian Top 20 sings and two Top Ten albums. In 1976, after their self-titled debut album was released in the USA, the tours to this country began and the fans lined up to see them as headliners and in conjunction with such stalwarts as the Doobie Brothers and the Eagles. Record success ran alongside—total record sales around the world have eclipsed the 25 million mark! Gold, platinum and multi-platinum with, in addition to “Reminiscing” and “Lady,” “Lonesome Loser” and “Cool Change.”

For tickets ($55) and further information about The Ridgefield Playhouse, call the box office at 203-438-5795; tickets may also be purchased online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Playhouse is at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street.
