The "Ramblin' Man" Dickey Betts returning to The Ridgefield Playhouse

Dickey Betts. Need one say any more? With his distinctive voice and mastery of the guitar, this rock and roller never ceases to amaze. Dickey Betts & Great Southern are coming once again to The Ridgefield Playhouse, this time on Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17, both at 8 p.m. I95 95.1 fm is the media sponsor for Saturday and The Fox 95.9 fm for Sunday.

In Dickey Betts' words, "'Ramblin' Man' and 'Blue Sky' were both written in the big house in Macon, Georgia. I wrote 'Blue Sky' in the living room and 'Ramblin' Man' in the kitchen. I really didn't think 'Ramblin' Man' was a tune we would want to record. I thought it was too country, but I played it and everybody in the band said, 'God! Where's that been?" Dickey Betts has mastered a seamless style of lyrical melody and rhythm-marrying country, jazz, blues and rock into one unparalleled sound.
