A resident of Connecticut and two-time Emmy Award-winner, Kevin Briody was the Official State Troubadour from 2000–2002 and has been selected by the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism as a Master Teaching Artist. An internationally recognized singer and songwriter who has shared the stage with artists ranging from Art Garfunkel to Aimee Mann, Briody took home his first Emmy in 2008 for Best Original Song, “Little Starr”, which earned Briody a BMI Film & Television Award. In 2009, “We All Fall Down” won a second Emmy in the Best Original Song category. Autism Speaks, a national organization combating autism, commissioned him to write the song “Bring Them Back” to help raise awareness about autism.
