Shakespeare on the Green to feature "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare"

Once again it is time for everyone to enjoy the arts'for free! The Ridgefield Playhouse will present its annual free outdoor Shakespeare on the Green production of one of the great Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival shows.This year under the tent, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, "The Complete Works of Shakespeare," will be presented. Sponsored by Smith Ridge, the hilarious performance is underwritten by Altria Group, Inc., Paul and Carol O'Connell and Family and Union Savings Bank.

Featuring thirty-seven plays within ninety-seven minutes, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare" is everything Shakespeare packed into one afternoon that will be entertaining, humorous and great for the entire family. Before the performance there will be tables featuring food by local area restaurants as well as other businesses with goodies for show-goers to sample.

While all tickets are free, reservations are necessary; call the box office at 203-438-5795. Tickets will be held until 1:30 on August 9. The Playhouse is located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street.
