Robin Trower making his only Connecticut appearance at The Ridgefield Playhouse
Robin Trower
In his last appearance at The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts, Robin Trower played to a standing-room-only crowd, so the time to get your tickets for this performance by a genuine British rock idol is right now. Robin Trower's World Tour 2008, produced in association with Premier Concerts, is coming to The Playhouse on Friday, March 21 at 8 p.m.

Trower's World Tour began in the US in sunny Florida in January. He will cross the country for 3 months and head back across the pond for the second half of the year in Belgium in April. But first the only stop in Connecticut at The Ridgefield Playhouse. What's new about this tour? One item is a new song set list, unleashing Trower's signature passionate Stratocaster solos, power-chord and ethereal rhythm structures and those haunting lyric melodies. Two is a powerful reunited Robin Trower Band line-up with Pete Thompson on drums, Glenn Letsch on bass and Davey Pattison on vocals. Glenn is the incredibly talented bassist seen on Robin's "Hot Licks" vhs, who was also the bassist in Gamma with Davey Pattison.

All of this, and a new release, "Seven Moons" with Jack Bruce, the Creams' legendary bassist/vocalist. Robin Trower is as busy as he is talented.

For tickets ($58) and further information about The Ridgefield Playhouse, call the box office at 203-438-5795; tickets may be also purchased online at www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Playhouse is located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street.
