Imagine the sounds and rhythms of beat-boxing, R&B, hip hop and gospel music all created solely with the human voice. The seven musicians who make up the Naturally 7 a cappella group are acclaimed vocalists and musicians who have sung together for years. International reviews gush that Naturally 7 is “Superlative, magical, you just have to hear them for yourself.” They will be in concert strutting their stuff at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, March 26, at 8 p.m.

They will be in concert strutting their stuff at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, March 26, at 8 p.m. This show is underwritten by Bruce Bennett Nissan and sponsored by Terra Sole Ristorante (3 Big Shop Lane, Ridgefield, 203-438-5352) with media sponsor WYBC 94.3fm. An AllShows.com VIP Party Pass which includes a pre-show cocktail party catered by Ancona’s Market, open bar, priority parking, VIP seating and meet and greet with the artists is available for this show. Call the Playhouse at 203-438-5795.

The seven musicians who formed Naturally 7 in New York City make music -- both singing and instrumentals -- with their voices, but characterizing them as an a cappella group does not do this highly acclaimed group justice. The Lonely Note concert review states: “To call Naturally 7 an impressive live performance would be a huge understatement…Not just beat-boxing, but wailing guitar licks, bellowing brass, and vibrant string arrangements. Every nuance is accounted for. The music needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.” And, A ConsumingExperience raves that “These guys are absolutely superb vocalists and musicians…they do fun stuff in concert, like demonstrate the different drum sounds that their drum guy can do…And they also demonstrated the harmonica in the Beatles’ Love Me Do. Not to mention Stayin’ Alive and Thriller”.

With a reputation that spans not only the U.S. but France, Switzerland, Germany and Scotland, Naturally 7’s music and vocal abilities allow them to summon up just about every popular style of music complete with “orchestral accompaniment” all done with their voices! Their harmonies, performance savvy and musicality have been much lauded: “Multi-talented and playful Rod Eldridge rips out turntable scratches, keyboards, guitar, strings and brass, while also pulling lead vocals”, enthuses Lonely Note after witnessing a recent Naturally 7 concert.

For tickets ($42.50 orches., $37.50 mezz.), call or visit the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse, (203) 438-5795. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT; ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
