Segarra, City of Hartford Font size: Small Big Email this article  Printer friendly page Share this article: Buy the "As seen on" mug On Monday, January 28 at 12pm, Hartford’s Coltsville Historic District will open its very first restaurant, Café Colt, in the lobby of the Colt Gateway building located at 140 Huyshope Avenue. It is the first restaurant to open in Hartford in 2013. Mayor Pedro Segarra will attend the Cafe's grand opening, which will be followed by a reception in Cafe Colt's event space, Loft 628, which boasts unobstructed views of the Connecticut River, the Colt dome and Hartford skyline. Café Colt is part of “The Colt Culinary Project”, the brainchild of Chef Harry Schwartz, who along with wife Laurie, recently redeveloped a formerly defunct vineyard in Lisbon, CT. Under their creative guidance, Heritage Trail Vineyards soon became a popular destination along the Connecticut Wine Trail. The Colt Culinary Project aims to provide restaurant and catering service, event and meeting space, employment and education through partnerships with local schools and neighborhood groups.
