Big riffs, massive grooves and expansive improvisations are the hallmarks of Gov't Mule's legendary live shows. Likewise, their well-crafted songs feature larger-than-life characters bearing life's heaviest burdens, performed by guitarist/vocalist Warren Haynes (who is number 23 on Rolling Stone's list of all-time top guitarists), drummer Matt Abts, keyboard player Danny Louis and bassist Andy Hess. Their latest album, "High & Mighty," bridges the gap between rock and improvisation music. Ives Concert Park (on Western Connecticut University west side campus, Mill Plain Road to University Blvd) does not allow the carrying in of alcoholic beverages or glass containers to the concert grounds.
