Imagine seven delightful children’s stories coming to life in a musical revue performed by a multi-talented cast. “If You Give a Pig a Pancake & Other Story Books” is coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, April 17, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., as part of the Pepsi Children’s Series. This show’s Union Savings Bank "Arts for Everyone" recipient is TBICO.
“If You Give a Pig a Pancake& Other Story Books” stories represent various issues, theme s and ideas relevant to a broad and diverse audience of children. Books featured in the show include: Diary of a Worm (It’s great to be a worm, but wormy life has its difficulties.); Fluffy the Guinea Pig (When Fluffy enters a Best Pets Contest, a pesky flea threatens to derail the competition.); Horace & Morris But Mostly Delores (Three mice promise to be best friends forever, but when others join in, what happens to the friendship?); How I Became a Pirate (Young Jeremy Jacob would love to sail away and be a pirate, but he soon discovers that there’s really no place like home.); If You Give a Pig a Pancake (A bossy little pig’s demands frazzle a little girl in this hilarious lesson about cause – and- effect.); Lilly’s Big Day (Lilly’s teacher is getting married, and Lilly just knows she’ll be a great flower girl, despite the fact that Mr. Slinger has already asked his niece to be the flower girl. When she suffers from stage fright, Lilly saves the day!); The Paper Bag Princess (When a ferocious dragon smashes a princess’s castle and kidnaps her beloved prince, she comes to the rescue.) This 60-minute children’s musical revue is recommended for ages 4 and up.
