Saxophonist Branford Marsalis to perform at the Danbury Audi Jazz Series

The Marsalis family is well known not only in the Jazz world, but throughout the entire music world as great musicians, composers and bandleaders. Saxophonist Branford Marsalis—with his Quartet (Joey Calderazzo, Eric Revis and Jeff “Tain” Watts)—is coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, May 3 at 8 p.m., just after the release of their latest album, “Metamorphosen,” which includes original compositions by all four members in a variety of moods. This evening of innovative music is part of the Danbury Audi Jazz Series.

The Westport Youth Film Festival (WYFF) has been given an incredible opportunity to hold a Special Screening of “Away We Go,” directed by Sam Mendes, on Monday, April 27, 7:00PM, at Bowtie Royale 6, 542 Westport Avenue, Norwalk. The Wiz extends for extra weekend

Due to popular demand, Playhouse on the Green, Bridgeport's not-for-profit community theater, has extended the run of its production of the Tony Award® winning musical THE WIZ for three additional performances: Friday, May 15 at 8PM; Saturday, May 16 at 8PM; and Sunday, May 17 at 3PM. The show, which opens Friday, April 24, already has had an overwhelming response at the box office. The 1975 contemporary re-telling of The Wizard of Oz has music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls and book by William F. Brown, who, for this production only, granted permission for the story to be set in Bridgeport. More
