Child Guidance Center receives $15,000 from the Wal-Mart Foundation
The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut (CGC), a non-profit agency providing professional mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families, has received a $15,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation State Giving Program. The Program seeks to support organizations with programs that align with the Wal-Mart Foundation’s mission to create opportunities so people can live better. More

Governor Rell urges prompt vote on foreclosure assistance legislation
Governor M. Jodi Rell today urged the Legislature to take quick action on two bills that would help more Connecticut families avoid foreclosure. "So many homeowners are facing tremendous financial pressure in this economy, struggling month by month just to make ends meet," Governor Rell said. "The sooner we can get these bills into law the sooner borrowers can take advantage of the extended programs and protections designed to keep them in their homes." More

Governor Rell honors Norwalk software company
Connecticut Innovations (CI), the state’s quasi-public authority responsible for technology investing and innovation development, hosted its Annual Technology Celebration April 7 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. The event drew over 600 members of the state’s technology community including technology businesses, young entrepreneurs from 13 of the state’s colleges and universities, investors and industry leaders.
