To help Connecticut businesses capitalize on ‘green’ trends and eco-friendly advancements, the Hartford Business Journal will host the Business Energy Summit Friday, September 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rocky Hill.
The summit will bring together key stakeholders and industry specialists to provide insight and resources on how to run an energy efficient business and what local companies can do to cope with high energy costs. Experts will run breakout sessions to share renewable energy tactics, facts about energy law, how to conduct energy audits, alternative energy sources and more.
“The state is coming off of a hot summer with energy prices through the roof,” said Gail Lebert, publisher of the Hartford Business Journal. “In our fifth year with the Business Energy Summit, we look to continue the discussion about how local businesses can make the smartest, money-saving decisions when it comes to energy use.”
The summit will also include awards given to businesses leading the way in energy innovation, conservation and advocacy/policy: “The companies awarded represent the latest in what organizations throughout our region are doing to adopt ‘green’ practices that are saving vital resources, improving our environment and quality of life, and saving dollars,” Lebert said.
Admission to the summit is $65 per person/$600 for a table of ten ($75/$700 after September 10). To register, or for more information, contact Amy Orsini at aorsini@HartfordBusiness.com or 860.236.9998, ext. 34, or register online at www.hartfordbusiness.com.
