Stamford, CT - The Loft Artists Association in Stamford, CT invites children ages 7 to 14 to again spread their creative wings this summer at a series of creative art workshops. The fifth annual Summer Art Saturday Workshop Program runs each Saturday 10 AM – 12PM from June 23 to August 11 and will feature explorations in Fimo clay, robot recyclables, poured and dripped painting, collage, watercolor, pressed flowers, cubist portraits and more — all taught by the LAA’s professional, award-winning artists.
"It’s always great to host these workshops in the studios and galleries where our artists create their own work.” says Co-Executive Director, Mark Macrides. “Children can experience a working artist’s environment firsthand. We are grateful for the generous donations from supportive community members that make this rich array of workshops possible.”
Registration is required and will be available Saturday, June 2 from 9 AM to 12 PM and Sunday, June 3 from 1 – 4 PM at 575 Pacific Street in Stamford. A 5$ non-refundable registration fee will be charged. Registration is limited to 2 workshops per child. For directions and more information visit loftartists.org.
Now celebrating its 40th year, the Loft Artists Association is a non-profit organization of professional working artists dedicated to building connections within the visual arts community and offering many artistic and educational opportunities to the public, free of charge.
