Eminent juror announced for regional juried art show in Easton

The Easton Arts Council is pleased to announce Mr. Everett Raymond Kinstler NA, AWS as juror for Art in the House a regional juried show, which will take place May 8-9 and May 15-16 2010 at the Bradley Hubbell house 535 Black Rock Tpke. Easton, CT.

Everett Raymond Kinstler began his career at as an illustrator for books and magazines. He has taught at the Art Students League and National Academy School, NYC, since 1969. His classes focus on painting and drawing from life and nature. His landscapes, figures, and interiors have been featured in over 50 books. Over time he established himself as one of the nation’s foremost portrait painters.

Everett Raymond Kinstler has painted over 1,000 portraits. Seven U.S. Presidents have posed for him. His portraits of Presidents Gerald R. Ford and Ronald Reagan, are the official White House portraits. Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery owns 100 of his works. In 1999 they awarded him the Copley Medal, its highest honor. He holds two honorary doctorates and is represented in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, and Butler Institute of American Art. In 2006 The Museum of the City of New York presented a four month exhibition of his paintings and drawings. Currently, a PBS documentary on his career is being shown nationally.
