Stamford High Winter Percussion Wins Gold

Stamford High School (SHS) Winter Percussion Ensemble had its best showing this season in more than 10 years, taking home a Gold Medal in the Musical Arts Conference (MAC) regional championships and ranking 25 in their class at the recent Winter Guard International (WGI) World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.

The Volunteer Center of United Way of Western Connecticut will host its annual Heart of Gold Award Dinner on Wednesday, May 6th at the Stamford Marriott from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Volunteer Center will honor Dan Sheehan, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Genworth for his leadership on employee volunteerism.

GEG Schools Promote Community Service at the 1st Annual “Make A Difference Day”

Students, families and faculty from the Beacon, Spire and Pinnacle Schools, the day schools of the Greenwich Education Group, will join together on Friday, May 1 starting at 1:00 pm for an afternoon program of special projects to benefit several local institutions including the Red Cross, Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital, Stamford’s New Covenant House and Insprica.
